See inside revamped New Street Market, in Woodbridge, now run by Tim Wilson and Sam Walker
The new owners of a community venue for food and art in Woodbridge say they have been ‘bowled over’ by the response from customers so far.
New Street Market, which first opened in 2019, has been taken over by Tim Wilson and Sam Walker who describe it as a ‘vibrant’ new hub for the town.
On opening day last Saturday, 300 customers visited the revamped venue, in New Street, which is inside restored 19th century stables.
Alongside a café and bar, it has a shop and a space that can be hired for hosting workshops and clubs.
Mr Wilson said: “We were really pleased to have met dozens of people who are booking gigs, talks, and classes in the community space at the back of the venue.
“It is thrilling to be joining the Woodbridge scene and we are opening the gallery space in a few weeks time with some yet-to-be-announced local artists who we really love.”
“Nothing is more important to us than community,” said Mr Walker.
“We want this to be a space where people feel at home - whether they’re grabbing a morning coffee, exploring an exhibition, or attending a supper club."
New Street Market will be open every day untill 5pm, as a cafe.
From Thursday through to Saturday the venue will be open in the evening.
Opening times are as follows:
Monday - Wednesday: 8.45am - 5pm
Thursday - Saturday: 8.45am - 11pm
Sunday - 9.30am - 3pm
