Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival kicks off today in Ipswich Street




A popular festival for families and foodies returns today and will celebrate local produce from around the county.

Stowmarket Food and Drink Festival is set to take place today from 10am to 4pm and will see many stalls occupy Ipswich Street.

The town centre event will offer local and produce stalls, street food, pop-up bars and sweet treats.

There will also be live music organised by the team at the John Peel Centre and Adam Spicer, the head chef at Retreat East and of Masterchef fame, will be hosting seasonal cooking demonstrations from the Food Museum’s Kitchen Theatre.

The museum will be holding free activities for children including forest school sessions and hedgehog bread making workshops.

Children will also be able to enjoy some free clay activities organised by Kiln Cottage Pottery.
