Countdown begins to 2025’s Suffolk Show, at Trinity Park, Ipswich, this May half term

The countdown to this year’s Suffolk Show has begun.

With the chance to meet rare-breed animals, gawk at military machines and have a go at sports, thousands are expected to flock to Trinity Park, Ipswich, on May 28 and 29 – fewer than 100 days from now.

This year’s event will be extra special, marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War in 1945.

Featured will be a dedicated display of local wartime history and a parade to honour servicemen and women from the area.

It will also be show director John Taylor’s final year at the helm, with his deputy, Mark Donsworth, set to take over from next year.

John said: “There’s nothing on the local calendar quite like the Suffolk Show.

“It is a joy to be show director once more and to celebrate less than 100 days to go until gates open at our wonderful Showground in Ipswich.

“Thanks to the county’s constant ambition to evolve and diversify, there is always something new to discover at the Suffolk Show, be it new attractions, exciting displays, or the long-awaited return of Ipswich Town Football Club to the Premier League.

“The team and I are working tirelessly to deliver an unforgettable Show experience that offers great value for the whole family, and we cannot wait to share it with you all.

“Start marking your calendars and we shall see you all at Trinity Park in May half term.”

As usual, children will be able to immerse themselves in the farming experience, with the Farming Live, Farm4Future, and the Farm Discovery Zone areas all making a return.

Families will also be given the chance to get up close and personal with barnyard animals.

More than 800 trade stands are also expected showcasing East Anglia’s businesses, with Adnams’ Food and Drink experience hosting over 80 artisan culinary experts.

Ipswich Town Football Club will also be present, celebrating their first foray into the Premier League in 22 years.

Ipswich Buses will be providing a shuttle bus between the town centre and the showground.

Parking for the event will also be free.

This year’s tickets are discounted at £36.50 while young people aged 15 to 18 are £14 and children under 15 go free.
