The Unruly Pig in Bromeswell, near Woodbridge, named as fanciest roast in UK by Waitrose
A popular gastropub in Suffolk has been named as having the fanciest roast in the country by a national supermarket chain.
The Unruly Pig in Bromeswell, near Woodbridge, has previously received high praise for its food, and has been named as one of the best country pubs in the UK by BBC’s Good Food Guide.
Major chain Waitrose has said the roast served by the red-brick rural inn is the fanciest in the UK.
"Fancy adding an ox-cheek-stuffed Yorkshire pudding to your plate or building your own all-British cheeseboard?" the article says.
"The Sunday menu's supporting acts nod to Italy (finger-licking focaccia with anchovy butter to start, affogato while you wait for the bill) and the beef, aged for 40 - 50 days and available in a choice of cuts, is unmissable."
The Unruly Pig also won the Taste of East of England in March and was named the 'best pub' by the GQ Food and Drink Awards 2023.
