Person in Woodbridge hospitalised in serious condition after falling into river
A person was taken to hospital in a serious condition yesterday after falling into a river in Woodbridge.
Several emergency services, including Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, were called to River Wall shortly before 1pm yesterday afternoon.
This was following reports that someone had fallen into the River Deben.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said that the Coastguard helped them pull the person out of the river.
They were pulled to shore and transported to Papworth Hospital in a serious condition.
One ambulance, three ambulance officer vehicles and four Hazardous Area Response Team Vehicles as well as the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance attended.
