Find out more about a 'Holland-style' overhaul to Woodbridge and Melton

Visitors to Woodbridge town centre later this month could learn more about a planned 'Holland-style' overhaul to its streets, a council has revealed.

Suffolk County Council is hoping to make the streets of Melton and Woodbridge cleaner, safer, friendlier and better-connected.

It secured £80,000 in funding in May this year from Active Travel England, a government-backed agency, to conduct a feasibility study to assess whether the changes would be possible.

If successful, the project could see significant government funding that could see these plans into fruition.

The public are being urged to visit Whisstocks Place on August 17 or Woodbridge Market on August 18 between 10am and 2pm to find out more about the project.

Residents and visitors to the town will be able to share their thoughts on how to improve mobility and local connections.
