Woodbridge ski-themed eatery Tide Bar, next door to The Boathouse in Whisstocks Square, to welcome customers today

A new bar in Woodbridge promising the vibe of a ski holiday without having to leave Suffolk will welcome customers today.

Located next door to The Boathouse Kitchen and Bar in Whisstocks Square, Tide Mill Lane, Tide Bar, opens from 5pm.

On offer will be traditional raclette and fondue, alongside classic accompaniments, including potatoes, pickled onions, cornichons, baby corn and cold cuts.

It is run by the same team who manage The Boathouse.

A spokeswoman for the bar said food and drink offerings are set to change with the seasons, with Autumn selections including Pumpkin Spiced Wine Spritzer, or mulled wine as Christmas approaches.

Specialty beer and a variety of wines will also be available, as well as Schnapps.

The public have been invited to come and have a free taste from 6pm to 10pm this evening.

Tide Bar will be open from 5pm to 11pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 12pm to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
