Classics at Glemham, near Woodbridge, raises over £10,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice




Over £10,000 was raised for a Suffolk hospice after a car show near Woodbridge.

Classics at Glemham, at Glemham Hall, took place on September 3, benefitting St. Elizabeth’s Hospice.

There was fun for all the family on offer, as well as having a range of classic cars, car club stands, military vehicles, commercial vehicles and motorbikes on display and raising money for St. Elizabeth’s Hospice.

In total £10,857 was raised, nearly doubling the £5,700 raised in 2022.

Celia Joseph, community & projects fundraising manager at St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “We were bowled over by the donation made in support of St Elizabeth Hospice this year - it was double that from 2022.

“We cannot say ‘thank you’ enough to the Classics at Glemham team, sponsors and everyone who attended and supported the fantastic event this year.

“Once again, Classics at Glemham did not disappoint it was a fun-filled day for all ages to enjoy.

“Every penny raised will make such a difference to our services and to the patients and families under our care throughout East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney, who are living through difficult times in their lives.”

Planning for next year’s event is already under way, scheduled for Sunday, September 1 2024.

Funds from the event will go towards the hospices vital services across East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney.
