Suffolk Police say a body has been found in the search for a missing 78-year-old man

A body has been found in the search for a missing man.

A member of the public reported the discovery in a field in the Wickham Market area today, at about midday.

Suffolk Police had been searching the area for a missing man, Calvin Baxter, aged 78, who was last seen on Friday at about 11am.

Formal identification of the body will take place in due course and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.

The next of kin of Mr Baxter have been informed and file will be compiled for the coroner.
