A12 at Stratford St Andrew, between Saxmundham and Wickham Market, shut after two-vehicle crash

A major route in a village has been closed in both directions following a two-vehicle crash.
The A12 is shut at Stratford St Andrew, between Saxmundham and Wickham Market.
Suffolk Police received a call at 7.50am to reports of a collision between a van and a car.
Fire crews, land ambulance and air ambulance are also at the scene.
It is unclear if anyone has suffered any injuries, but a police spokesperson said the van driver may need to be rescued from the vehicle by firefighters.
According to the AA map, there are two miles of tailbacks.
Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.
The incident is ongoing.
