As the Newmarket Nights are well under way this year, an event which was sure to deliver was the sold out, Craig David...

And boy he did not disappoint!

Grammy and Brit award nominated and known for his performances on the dance and garage Ibiza scene, Craig David managed to enthral the crowd as if they were present at an Ibiza Rocks rave.

Effortlessly arriving on time, dressed in tracksuit bottoms and a smile, David and his set excited the crowd for the full 90 minutes, performing just about every known record he could fit in.

Singing retro favourites such as 'Seven Days', 'Fill Me In' and 'Walking Away', as well as new classics such as 'When the Bassline Drops', 'I Know You' and 'What's your Flava'.

The atmosphere was by far the most entertaining of a concert that I've attended in a long time, with the backdrop of the racecourse, and lots of flowing pimms, prosecco and wine it was definitely an afternoon and evening crowds will not forget.

David's simple set included a main female backing singer who helped him remix classic 'Show Me Love' which the crowd erupted to as soon as the first few lines were played.

Next up in the Newmarket Nights line-up is Brit award winner Plan B who will be performing at the racecourse this Friday.
