Final Transmission play first hometown gig

Rock five-piece Final Transmission graced the stage at the Hunter Club in Bury St Edmunds at the weekend in their first hometown gig.

The band, made up of singer Eric Blade, lead guitarist Connor Wooler, bass player Aidan Wooler, rhythm guitarist Jordan Cameron and drummer Tom Wales, formed in November last year.

On Saturday, the group played the Washing Machine rock night, having taken time out of performing live to work on the pre-production for their debut EP.

Connor said: “It was really good on Saturday - we had a great turnout.

“We were first on stage and had everyone clapping and cheering.

“We had the entire crowd singing along at one point.

“It was a song called Memory Lane which I wrote about three people I have lost.

“It was just amazing to see people singing it back to us.”

Connor said the band were looking to hit the studio in the near future to record their first EP.

“We have spent a lot of time on the pre-production so we can get in there and get it done,” he said.

“It’s just a case of waiting for our drummer to have a day off.

“We don’t want to rush the recording but we know the set so well now - we’ve been playing it two times a week for the last few months.

“We are planning to get the EP tracked in the next month so come January we want to have it ready to go.”
