Woman, 35, remains on bail after deaths of husband and wife, Dilipan Sebastiampillai and Dorota Sebastiampillai, in crash on B1106 in Brandon over a year ago




A 35-year-old woman remains on police bail after the deaths of a husband and wife in a crash more than a year ago as police renew their appeal for information.

Officers were called at around 5.40pm on Saturday, April 15 to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the B1106, in Brandon, involving a Nissan Note and a Jeep Cherokee.

The driver and passenger in the Nissan died at the scene.

They were identified as husband and wife Dilipan Sebastiampillai, 43, and Dorota Sebastiampillai, 41, from the London borough of Haringey.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving on Thursday, April 20 last year and questioned at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

She remains on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers would like to hear from any potential witnesses to the collision who have not already spoken to police.
