Thetford's Location Location event sells out in four hours
A Thetford estate agent has said he is ‘overwhelmed’ by the public’s response after places to a free community-focussed second birthday bash for the business went in four hours.
Andy Overman, of Location Location in Bridge Street, wanted to celebrate the success of the business with the community that had supported it so well.
But what he did not expect was to find out only four hours after releasing the 200 tickets to the November 20 event they would all be gone.
He said: "I am absolutely blown away and overwhelmed. You always have that worry that when you throw an event like this, would people come - a bit like when you were a kid and worried if your friends would turn up to your birthday party.
"We were hoping that we would fully book eventually in the two weeks up to it, but to do that within four hours is mad."
The party, at The Carnegie in the town, will include a disco, a comedy magic show as well as balloon modelling and fun party games.
Andy also said businesses had also got involved including Castle Capers supplying a bouncy castle, Magic Floor Productions who will be face painting and Jane James from the town's bookshop, Not Just Books, who will be crafting and storytelling.
He said: "I am incredibly grateful that there are like minded business in town too that wanted to give back to the community.
"I am also thankful to the community for supporting this and us over the last two years. There have been some disappointed not to get tickets but we are deeply rooted in the community and will be doing more events very soon."
