TRISudbury enjoy successful weekend
It was a big weekend for TRISudbury adults and juniors, with the adults heading in great numbers to the Outlaw Half Ironman, in Holkham, and the juniors smashing their target event at the West Suffolk Triathlon, in Culford.
First, the juniors took on the West Suffolk Triathlon. where eight team members represented the club with distinction on a very hot day.
Esme Quayle smashed her first triathlon in 10 minutes and 50 seconds, which included a 50m swim, 850m cycle and 600m run and came third overall in her age group.
Ben Boldock and Violette Davy achieved a great times of 21 minutes and 42 seconds and 16 minutes and 44 seconds respectively in TRIStar 1, which was a 150m pool swim, 1.7km cycle and 1.2km run.
Will Bradley and Henry Newman finished in 22 minutes and 58 seconds and 2 5minutes and 40 seconds respectively in TRIStar 2, which comprised of a 200m swim, 3.4km cycle and 1.8km run.
Charlie Boldock, Harry Wilson and Aiden Priday completed TRIStar 3 in 28 minutes and 11 seconds, 36 minutes and 49 seconds and 35 minutes and 34 seconds respectively, which was a 300m swim, 5.1km cycle and 1.8km run.
Also, the club had 27 triathletes competing and achieving some positive results at the Outlaw Half Ironman, in Holkham, which was a 1.2mile swim, 56 mile cycle and finishes with a 13.1 mile run.
The club had a mix of individual and relay teams taking part in hot, sunny conditions, including Mark Smith, Simon Daniel, Simon Budd, Pete Hender, Tom Codling, Jonathan Gray, Ian Ledieu, Jon Powell, Aaron Noble, Christopher Thornton, Murray Baker, Stuart Beal-Collins, Laura Stanton-Davis, Gail Forster, Debbie Harman, Dawn Buckland, Carly Moody, Sam Derry, Georgia Hodgson, Dean Se, Jessie Humphries, Sarah Farley, Sarah Clarke, Lindsay Hobden and Stuart Lakey.
