Suffolk FA Under-18s progress in cup competition
A goal in each half saw Andy Reynold’s Suffolk FA Under-18s ease past Worcestershire and into the third round of this season’s FA County Youth Cup.
Haverhill Rovers’ Tyrone Alleyne put Suffolk ahead two minutes before the interval and after AFC Sudbury’s James Axcell’s penalty was well saved, Hadleigh United’s George Mrozek added the second after 53 minutes in Sunday’s second-round tie.
Conditions at Bromsgrove Sporting FC were far from ideal, with wind and light rain, but the visitors were worthy winners after getting their noses in front.
Suffolk will now be at home in the third round to Middlesex FA, who defeated Devon FA 6-3 in the second round, on a date to be decided.
