Sudbury crash on A143 between car and bicycle sees woman in 60s suffer serious injuries
A woman in her 60s has suffered serious injuries following a collision between a car and a bicycle.
It happened on A134 southbound in Sudbury, at the junction with Newmans Green, at around 4.20pm yesterday.
The car was a black Volkswagen Polo and the cyclist was airlifted to to hospital where she remains with her injuries now described as critical but stable.
The road was closed yesterday following the incident.
Suffolk Police are asking any witnesses and any motorists driving in the area to get in touch by contacting he Roads and Armed Policing Team at Police Headquarters, quoting CAD 258 of the 26 July or investigation number 37/42292/24.
The public are also being asked to review any dashcam footage that might provide useful information for the investigation.
