Two men have been charged following reports of hare coursing in Stowupland yesterday morning.

Police were called at around 9.20am on Tuesday, September 8, by a member of the public reporting possible hare coursing in a field off the A1120.

Around 9.30am officers located vehicles and dogs and detained two men who were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Frank McFarlane, 28, of Newman Drive, Boxted, near Colchester, and Christopher Ward, 38, of East Ham Manor Way, Newham, London, have now been charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game.

Both have been bailed to appear before magistrates in Bury st Edmunds on Monday October 12.
