Two men arrested after police officers seize quantity of Class A drugs in Sudbury area
A pair of men were arrested, after a quantity of illegal drugs was confiscated by police in the Sudbury area.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 7, when officers carrying out a targeted patrol encountered two men, who ran off, while one of them was seen to discard a package.
The officers subsequently gave chase and managed to detain both men.
The discarded package was then recovered by police, who found what they believed to be a quantity of illicit Class A drugs.
As a result, both men were arrested on suspicion of possession of a prohibited substance with intent to supply.
They were transported to the Suffolk Constabulary Investigation Centre in Bury St Edmunds for questioning.
