Top exhibits on display at autumn horticultural show in Great Waldingfield

The hard work of allotment holders and keen gardeners from Great Waldingfield paid off at the weekend when the village held its annual autumn horticultural show in the village hall.

The best vegetables and flowers were awarded prizes, as judges inspected all the produce and arrangements on display and made their decisions on the top exhibits.

Show secretary John Hughes said the 35th annual autumn show was a big success. Shows are held twice a year, in the spring and autumn, and include handicrafts, photography and cookery.

Mr Hughes said: “They were presented with a picture of St Lawrence’s Church and a novelty cheeseboard. They will be greatly missed.”

He added: “It was an excellent show.”
