Thief dropped bag after being caught raiding fridge during burglary near Bury St Edmunds
A hungry thief was disturbed by the owners of a house in the early hours of this morning as he raided their fridge.
The burglary took place on Barton Hill in Fornham St Martin, Bury St Edmunds at 2.50am today, Thursday 28 January.
A man entered the property and stole items from a freezer. The owner interrupted the theft and the suspect fled the scene, dropping the food bag as he left. The owners also reports that food has been going missing from the freezer over the past 10 days.
The man is described as being white, in his 20s and of medium build and was thought to be wearing a blue fleece or jacket and a dark coloured beanie style hat.
At the scene officers also discovered a distinctive multi-coloured bag which may have been left by the suspect.
