Suffolk children rewarded for completing Summer Reading Challenge
Children across Suffolk earned rewards from their libraries, after they completed the annual summer reading challenge.
Libraries in Sudbury, Long Melford, Great Cornard and Lavenham presented certificates and medals to hundreds of youngsters who completed the challenge, which tasked them with reading six books over the summer holidays.
This year’s theme was Mischief Makers, in celebration of 80 years of Beano comics.
Krystal Vittles, head of service delivery at Suffolk Libraries, said: “The summer reading challenge continues to be a hugely successful and important campaign, which offers a fun way of encouraging children to keep up their reading, so they don’t fall behind during the summer.
“Our staff and volunteers have done a fantastic job running activities and supporting the challenge again.”
