Schoolgirl delighted to be supporting cancer patients with bold fundraiser

A caring schoolgirl from Sudbury, who was keen to help others, has donated her long locks to a cancer charity.

Poppy Hulbert made the bold decision to have 11 inches cut off in aid of the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair through treatment.

“A couple of people in my family have had cancer, so I wanted to help other people in that position,” said the 11-year-old, of Talbot Road.

The Ormiston Sudbury Academy pupil has raised nearly £800 in donations.

“I’m immensely proud of her and for going through with it,” said Poppy’s mother, Gemma.
