Long Melford gym owner delighted after completing finishing touches to Joseph James Fitness, at South Suffolk Business Centre, in Sudbury
A gym owner is delighted after perfecting his unique fitness suite following a move to a new location in Sudbury.
Joseph James, of Long Melford, has been running his business – previously located in Byford Road – since 2019.
Since moving Joseph James Fitness to unit 24 at the South Suffolk Business Centre, the 37-year-old has been busy adding the last bits of equipment and completing the final touches.
Joseph, a level three qualified personal trainer and sports massage therapist, said: “I’m delighted with the new gym.
“It’s just how I wanted it and it’s a new chapter. It’s in a really good location with higher footfall and it’s been going really well.
“It’s always scary moving to a new place, but I’ve worked really hard to get this to a high standard and I want people to love coming here.
“I just want to make health and fitness easy and accessible to everyone.”
Joseph moved his gym as the new premises is better suited to what he wanted and is in close proximity to other health care professionals, such as physiotherapists and chiropractors.
Joseph specialises in one-to-one training or with small groups – a big factor in the gym’s appeal.
“It’s a private gym and it is very unique,” he said. “There’s nothing like it in East Anglia as far as I’m aware.
“We have state-of-the-art equipment and you can have the whole place to yourself for an hour.
“People can be anxious about going to the gym due to others being around, so we remove that. People don’t like waiting for equipment sometimes as well which you don’t have to worry about here.
“We have on-demand television and Bluetooth, so you can choose the music or conditions that best suit you.
“I train a young couple who have a child. They bring the child with them as the gym is completely private. So we solve that problem, too.”
Joseph added that his clients love the gym’s other permanent resident ... a dog called Darcy.
