Storehouse food bank in Sudbury makes final appeal for Christmas donations

The deadline for donations to a Sudbury food bank’s Christmas campaign is fast approaching, as the charity seeks to bring festive cheer to families in need.

Volunteers at the Storehouse, a community programme run by the Stour Valley Vineyard Church, are working to prepare festive food packages to help relieve anxiety at a time when many families on the poverty line face tough financial choices.

Recommended donations include mince pies, Christmas puddings, Yule logs, sweets, crisps, boxes of chocolates, tinned ham and salmon, and chutneys.
