Stoke by Nayland Primary School raises over £500 at festive fair to help boost learning facilities

Youngsters at Stoke by Nayland Primary School welcomed visitors to join in the festivities at their own Christmas fair.

The event raised just over £500, which will help to fund a series of enrichment activities at the school.

Headteacher Sarah Smith, who took up the position in September, hopes to establish a range of stimulating activities.

“I really want learning to be exciting for the children and to provide a wealth of opportunities,” she said.

“We are in the process of becoming a Forest School in order to make maximum use of our amazing wildlife area and our local community wood.

“We also have plans in place to create a spiritual garden and an outdoor learning courtyard to complement our existing gorgeous outdoor areas.”

The school is performing a carol service at Stoke by Nayland Church on Wednesday at 6pm.
