Cats Lane in Sudbury closed and customers experiencing power cuts after van hits electricity pole




Power will soon be restored to all homes in the Sudbury area after a van crashed into an electricity pole bringing down cables.

Suffolk Police was called to Cats Lane, in Sudbury, at 5.30am this morning, to the collision which led to power cuts in two postcodes.

A police spokesman said there were no reported injuries.

Cats Lane is currently closed as UK Power Networks carry out repairs.

Road closures are in place at the junctions of Kings Hill and Cats Lane and Cats Lane with Elm Road

According to an update, on the UK Power Networks website, it is expected power will be restored to the 26 customers still affected between 12.30pm - 1.30pm.

UK Power Networks have been approached for comment.

Suffolk Highways are helping to manage the road closure.
