A134 blocked as Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service called to Assington tractor fire

A road was blocked this afternoon as fire crews battled a tractor fire at a farm.

The A134 was closed briefly at Assington, as emergency services responded to the blaze which took hold of a tractor close to a farm entrance just off the road.

Firefighters from Sudbury and Nayland were called at 12.54pm and battled the fire using breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets.

The fire was put out by 1.52pm and the road reopened.
