River Stour Trust stages Santa Claus boat trips in Sudbury as Christmas approaches

Father Christmas ditched his sleigh and joined visitors on a festive-themed river cruise in Sudbury this month.

Run by The River Stour Trust, a series of Santa Boat Trips have been staged to spread some festive cheer in the run-up to Christmas.

Praising the positive response, a spokeswoman at the trust said: “Our Christmas Santa trips have again met local demand to the point where we have increased availability three-fold since last year.

“Both children and adults really enjoy the experience and we have been inundated with visitors.”
