Adept Property Lawyers opens new office in Sudbury after reporting resurgence in trade following end of coronavirus lockdown

A specialist property law firm confirmed it is experiencing a post-lockdown resurgence in trade, after expanding into a new location in Sudbury .

Adept Property Lawyers opened its second office in Gainsborough Street, as demand for its services continues to rise while the property market bounces back from the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic.

The company, which also has an office in Haverhill , described Sudbury as the ideal location to grow its business, due to the town’s proximity to its existing clients and workforce.

Paul Villars, commercial director at Adept Property Lawyers, said: “We have wanted to expand for a while and we have many clients that are located between Haverhill and Sudbury.

“This a good location to grow the business, both into Essex and Bury St Edmunds , and we are delighted to have found the right office for us in Sudbury.

“During lockdown, the housing market was understandably cautious, as no-one knew how quickly we would recover.

“As we had decided to continue trading throughout lockdown, we were able to respond quickly once restrictions were eased and we saw an immediate bounce-back.

“The stamp duty holiday has clearly helped with restoring confidence and, on recent
occasions, we have doubled the amount of new cases that we had before lockdown.

“It has been really encouraging and we just all hope it continues to progress.”

The expansion comes after Adept rebranded and changed its name earlier this year, having previously traded for more than 25 years under the name Valentine & Co Property Lawyers.

The business specialises in conveyancing services for buying and selling residential and industrial properties, as well as will and probate services.
