Post office in Great Waldingfield to extend opening hours following closure for major refurbishment

The post office in Great Waldingfield is undergoing a major refurbishment.

Located in Lavenham Road, the branch will operate as a new One Stop convenience store.

Opening hours are being extended from Monday to Sunday, between 6am to 8pm.

While work takes place, the branch will close on Saturday, November 2, at 1pm, and will reopen on Thursday, November 21, at 9am.

Praising the project, Wendy Hamilton, manager at Post Office Change, said the revamp would provide a more efficient service.

“We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents,” she said.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”

During the closure, post office customers can visit branches on Market Hill, in Sudbury, and Applegate Mews, in Great Cornard.
