An e-fit has been released of a man police wish to speak to following the robbery of a woman in Halstead which left her bruised.

The 26-year-old woman was approached by a man on a path between Trinity Court and the Esso garage in Halstead just before 5.30pm on August 13.

The man grabbed her arm and demanded money, then grabbed a packet of cigarettes from her handbag, before running off in the direction of Holy Trinity Church.

The victim, from Halstead, suffered bruising to her arm in the incident.

Detectives want to identify the man pictured, described as being aged in his early 20s, very slim and 5ft 9ins tall, with a gaunt-looking face.
