Armed officers and police helicopter seen in First Avenue Sudbury

Armed police officers were seen on the streets of a Suffolk town last night, as a police helicopter hovered overhead.

On social media residents said they saw a heavy police presence in Sudbury at around 8pm.

Armed police were spotted in the area around First Avenue, wearing anti-stab vests and helmets.

Suffolk Police have been approached for comment.
