Reports of shot fired in Stoke-by-Nayland field near Hadleigh sees police helicopter attend




A police helicopter attended reports that a shot had been fired in a field in a Suffolk village.

Suffolk Police were alerted at 8.30pm on Friday to the incident in Stoke-by-Nayland near Hadleigh but, when they attended, found no offence had been committed.

A spokesman said: "We want to reassure the public that we attended the incident as soon as reports came in that a shot had been fired in a field.

"We found no offence had been committed and the investigation is closed with no further action."
