Fire in Cat’s Lane Sudbury caused by firework confirm Suffolk Police




Witnesses are being urged to come forward after a firework caused serious damage to a shed and a Honda car – in an incident being treated as arson.

Five fire crews were called to Cat’s Lane in Sudbury on Tuesday, January 16, after a fire spread from a hedge.

Police believe the blaze was started by a firework and have said their inquiries are continuing.

A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said: “The incident of arson is believed to have taken place at approximately 8:15pm on January 16, in Cat’s Lane, Sudbury.

“It is reported that a lit firework caused a bush to be set alight which in turn caused significant fire damage to a parked Honda Car.”
