PICTURES: Thomas Gainsborough School students showcase artistic talents with exhibition at Mill Tye Gallery in Great Cornard
Mill Tye gallery in Great Cornard has become the canvas for beautiful pieces of artwork created by schoolchildren.
Pupils from Thomas Gainsborough School have seen their paintings, photos, prints and textiles go on display until October 27.
Taken from a project undertaken by some of the year groups at the school called Sudbury as our Canvas, around 50 pieces of art were selected to go on show when the exhibition, called Art Gallery Takeover, opened on Saturday.
Gallery owner Peter Rumsey said: “It’s an amazing showcase of work celebrating the talents and creativity of the young people of our community.
“Everyone can see and enjoy the work created by students of all years from Thomas Gainsborough School.”
The free exhibition at the gallery and arts centre in Mill Tye is open on Fridays, from 2.30pm to 6pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 4pm.
