Elm Road Sudbury fire: Pictures show devastation after fire rips through house
Images from the scene of a house fire in Sudbury that started in the early hours of this morning show the devastation left after flames tore through the building's first floor.
Fire crews, police and ambulance teams were alerted to an incident in Hillside Road, Sudbury, at 1.46am, following reports that a terraced house was ablaze.
Five fire engines, including two from Colchester, two from Sudbury and one from Long Melford, were called to the scene.
The fire was concentrated to the building's first floor and pictures from this morning show the damage to the upstairs window and room.
Part of the roof also appears to have been damaged in the blaze.
A spokesperson for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said no one was trapped in the house. However, one casualty was left with the ambulance service after the fire.
The fire was put out by 4.57am.
This morning, one fire crew was at the scene to dampen down and ensure the fire was extinguished.
