Creating something from scratch, whether it is a stunning piece of jewellery or a beautifully-sewn garment, is a satisfying experience for many people.
But when you can put your creative handiwork on show and are able to sell it as a gift to an appreciative customer, it is even more delightful.
That is exactly what scores of creative crafters did when they set up their stalls at The Old School in Long Melford on Saturday.

The sale was called We Are Handmade Christmas Fair and featured around 40 crafts men and women, all of whom brought along their homemade contemporary and vintage-style products and gifts to sell.
There was also a stall featuring a children’s book, Pebbles and Friends. It was illustrated by Hannah Vandridge, who came along to the fair, and was written by Hannah’s partner Robert Clarke.

Featuring jewellery, clothing, handbags, artwork and prints, the fair offered plenty of choice.
On show was handmade pottery figures, planters, soap, greetings cards and wooden ornaments and bowls.
For those with a sweet tooth, handmade chocolate proved a popular item.
Visitors were treated to a demonstration during the day by Sandra Hall Ceramics.
