Visitors set off on a mysterious quest after being cast under a spooky spell during a visit to Kentwell Hall at the weekend.
Dressed in their own Hallowe’en-themed costumes, youngsters had to prove their own magic skills in order to gain seven key words to unlock a spell at Hallowsgate.
Deep in the werewood, children helped a dragon to retrieve its prized possession, while successfully capturing a werewolf on the loose.
Others practised their magic skills at a school of sorcery before graduating as wizards.
At the unfairground, a mischievous trickster tasked youngsters with a challenge, which involved working as a team to remove themselves from a tangled piece of rope. After successfully completing the task, the children were treated to a magic show.
Along the witches’ walk, visitors had to tread carefully as they helped to mix magical potions to create a brightly-coloured brew.
In the fairy garden, they navigated their way through an interactive assault course in preparation for becoming a fairy guardian.
And if that was not enough, they were invited to take part in an additional obstacle course at a Halloweenies event, before taking part in a face printing session.
Event director Andrew Lindfield said the Tudor mansion provided an ideal setting to host the event.
“We have such great grounds to base the event and it enables us to create different areas,” he said.
The event runs until Sunday.
