PICTURES: Interactive fitness sessions provide key skills for pupils at Glemsford Primary Academy
Youngsters at Glemsford Primary Academy gained key development skills as part of a series of interactive fitness sessions this week.
During the workshop on Tuesday, children were tasked with a range of challenges, which explored the benefits of exercise, while boosting communication and leadership skills.
Hosted by Inspire Suffolk, the interactive games involved using effective communication skills to describe a picture to a partner, while other pupils were tasked with solving how to reach the other side of the hall without touching the floor.
Year 4 teacher and PE co-ordinator Charlotte Kiddy praised the enthusiasm of those taking part.
“They gained a lot of life skills, as well as learning about the benefits of exercise,” she said. “It’s something they need to learn at a young age and, if we can teach the skills through PE, it’s a really nice way of doing that.”
