Organisations join together for walk-in event in Sudbury to promote community health and help Macmillan Cancer Support
Residents got a chance to meet the team at Sudbury Community Health Centre, talk to representatives from local community groups and find out more about their work on Saturday morning.
The walk-in event at the Church Field Road health centre was held to promote flu vaccination and community health.
Organiser Rachael Hurrell said: “We did a total of 530 flu vaccinations on the day.
“It was a fantastic response from the community.”
The day also featured a Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning, which raised more than £400.
Community transport Go Start provided a free shuttle service from Sudbury and Great Cornard to the centre.
Other organisations taking part were Age UK, Healthwatch Suffolk, U3A, Suffolk Family Carers, The Christopher Centre and the Hearing Care Centre.
