Motorcyclist dies after two-vehicle crash in Gestingthorpe, near Sudbury

A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle crash in a village.

Emergency services were called to Northend Road in Gestingthorpe, near Sudbury, shortly before midday on Friday.

An Essex Police spokesperson said despite the best efforts of the public and paramedics, the rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, died at the scene.

The road was closed while emergency services attended.

Officers are asking for anyone who has any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to the incident, to contact them.
