An outbreak of coronavirus has infected 45 people at a care facility in Hadleigh.

“This is clearly a worrying situation and we continue to monitor the situation and work with the care home and Suffolk partners to ensure the safety of staff and residents," a Public Health Suffolk spokeswoman said.

The announcement comes after Public Health England figures revealed that Hadleigh recorded 32 Covid-19 cases between October 24 and October 30 - the highest number of new infections for that week in all of Suffolk, and double the number of cases from the next highest area in the county.
