Esquires Coffee shop plans for former WHSmith store on Sudbury’s Market Hill




Further plans for a new coffee shop in a former WHSmith store and Post Office have been submitted.

Esquires Coffee, have applied for listed building consent to make changes to the historic building on Sudbury’s Market Hill.

In their latest plans, submitted to Babergh District Council, the company stated they want to remove the modern aluminium bi-fold shop entrance door and modern timber side door.

They have also applied to insert a painted timber shop entrance door and side screen at the Grade II listed building.

Esquires Coffee have more than 40 stores across England, and the opening date for their store in Sudbury has not yet been announced.

Last month they submitted plans for a proposed new shopfront, including: illuminated writing, logos and a hanging sign.
