Met Office issues weather warning after forecasting snow for Sudbury and east of England




Residents of Sudbury and the surrounding area are being urged to take care on the roads tomorrow, due to the forecast of heavy snowfall across the region.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice, as temperatures drop across the east of England.

Forecasts indicate that snow is expected during the late morning and early afternoon, with the heaviest snowfall anticipated some time around midday.

However, the weather is then expected to clear up at around 3pm, with cloud and sun for the rest of the afternoon.

With the weather warning in place, the Met Office is warning commuters to expect longer journey times via car, bus and train, due to the likelihood of disruption on the roads and railways, and to be wary of ice patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
