A man has to be airlifted to hospital after he became trapped under a mobile home in Halstead.

Ambulance staff had to crawl underneath as the mobile home was lifted seven inches off the ground by the fire service.

Two crews from Halstead were called to the incident in Gardeners Road on Sunday afternoon and inflated two airbags to lift the structure high enough so that paramedics could attend to him.

An ambulance crew, ambulance officer, hazardous area response team and Essex Air Ambulance attended.

The man in his 60s was sedated and then air lifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge with a suspected broken pelvis.
