Man charged with grievous bodily harm in connection with serious assault in Halstead

A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a serious assault in Halstead, which left another man with broken bones.

The incident occurred in the men’s toilets at The Dorrington hotel and bar in Trinity Street on December 27, 2018.

The 23-year-old victim sustained broken ribs and vertebrae in the attack.

George Argent, of Stanley Road, Halstead, has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on October 17.
