Sean Smith, of Newton Road, Sudbury, to appear at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court accused of stealing hundreds of pounds of Manga and Zelda books




A 26-year-old man accused of stealing hundreds of pounds worth of books and other goods will appear in court next week.

Sean Smith, of Newton Road, Sudbury, was remanded in why custody at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday pending a hearing on Tuesday.

He is accused of three separate theft charges, all of which are alleged to have taken place this month, and one count of assaulting an emergency worker.

On March 8, Smith is suspected to have stolen a Manga boxset of books worth £150 and a Legend of Zelda book boxet worth £100 from Waterstones in Sudbury.

Meanwhile he is accused of, on March 24, taking three laundry baskets, a bowl, jewellery and perfume worth £128.82 from QD in the same town.

He is alleged to have beaten the emergency worker, namely a custody medic, on the same day.
