Long Melford B1064 Sudbury Road at roundabout junction with A134 reopens after serious crash
A road has reopened following a serious crash involving a car and a cement mixer lorry in Long Melford.
Police were called at 3.50pm yesterday to reports of a collision on the B1064 Sudbury Road, at the roundabout junction with the A134.
The driver and front seat passenger of the car were trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued by firefighters.
Both casualties were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with potentially serious injuries.
The road was closed at the roundabout for a collision investigation.
At 1am, a police spokesman said the road had reopened.
