Visitors were treated to a musical extravaganza in Long Melford Country Park last weekend.

Popular songs from renowned films and musicals were performed outdoors at Jenny Wrens Tea in the Park on Sunday.

“It was fantastic. People were really enjoying themselves,” said café owner Janet Munro, who was accompanied by professional singer Ian Sanders, who has featured in a number of West End musicals.

“It was the first time we have performed together, which was quite impromptu,” added Ms Munro, who held a Lionel Ritchie tribute performance at the café a couple of months ago.

“The park’s setting provides an ideal backdrop to hold such events. Everyone who comes to the café says how peaceful it is.”
